Farmer Training

Farming has always been one of the most important economic activities in India, with about two-thirds of the population engaged in agriculture and agriculture-related activities. Special Farmer Training Programmes were organised by SUNDESH in different villages in Ghaziabad to educate them about various agricultural marketing reforms, modern marketing methods, direct marketing, group marketing, interface with the experts of commodities specialists and marketing personnel, warehousing, pledge financing, and scientific storage of agricultural commodities in India.

Participants were also exposed to various activities related to poultry farming with more emphasis on disease management, diagnosis and treatment. In practical sessions, hands-on training is provided on various aspects of backyard poultry production using improved crosses, common diseases of poultry, diagnosis, management and prevention, post-mortem examination, poultry farm and hatchery management, feed formulation, duck production and management, etc.
