Bee-Keeping

Targeting families belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) and to provide them better income opportunities, SUNDESH has organised Bee-Keeping training to these villagers. For this programme, SUNDESH targeted villagers who were engaged in cultivation of Mushroom as they were usually free during the summers.

To start with, Sundesh provided the first batch of bee boxes to farmers along with initial training. This helped the farmers improve their household income by producing and selling honey. Given the exceptional potential of the honey business, the farmers who took part in this initiative have seen their income double.
