Poonam Singh Parihar
Poonam Singh Parihar is an esteemed professional with an impressive academic background, holding an MA, M Ed, Diploma in ECCE and a PG Diploma in Operations Management. Currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work with a focus on “Study on the effect of community-based feminine hygiene programs in rural India”, Poonam brings over 20 years of diverse experience in both academia and social work.
She is the Manager of Operations at Mobius Foundation, a New Delhi-based sustainable think-tank involved in environmental sustainability through education and population stabilization campaigns. Within the Mobius Foundation, she played a pivotal role in coordinating the establishment of ‘Gyan Anant Vidyalaya School’ in Pilkhuwa, Ghaziabad.
Additionally, as an Executive Member of SUNDESH, Poonam is dedicated to the holistic development of rural areas through integrated community development programmes, with a special focus on women empowerment. Her vision includes crafting and executing need-based projects aimed at improving the living conditions of rural communities and enhancing the quality of life of marginalized and underprivileged groups, particularly adolescents and women. She leads initiatives focused on menstrual health management in both rural and urban schools, contributing to the well-being of communities at large.
