SUNDESH seeks to create livelihood generation opportunities for rural women by offering them training in various vocations like cutting & tailoring, beauty care, Mehandi application, weaving, handicraft making and food preservation. For upskilling rural males, training on mushroom cultivation, bee-keeping, vermicomposting, farming, veterinary services are provided. These initiatives have helped in empowering villagers and reduce gender-based discrimination.

Under this programme, SUNDESH did not restrict its role to imparting training programmes, but has taken on the role of liaising between banks, government officials and villagers to form SHGs. The SUNDESH team also helps in negotiating bank loans for new enterprises.
