Susheela is a resident of Chauna village since the last 25 years. She worked as an agricultural labourer along with her husband. She has 3 sons and their family did not have good living conditions in their small kaccha house. Susheela began working as a health worker with Chunni Lal Medical Trust at Sundesh and also formed a Self Help Group with the name ‘UTKARSH’. She began to save small amounts of money with other members of the SHG and also took a loan from the Bank to enroll her children in school and improve her house and living conditions.
Now Susheela also works as an Asha Worker with the PHC of Gautambudh Nagar. A toilet was also constructed in her home with the help of 700 se 7 Kadam Scheme of Sundesh society.
Susheela has also attended a training to make sanitary pads through Sundesh society and works towards creating awareness among the women of the village towards menstrual health and hygiene and other things related to their health as an individual.
Susheela is still working with Sundesh as a health worker and is grateful to Sundesh for helping her Improve her life and living conditions.
