The Government of India’s initiatives like the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Gramin and the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) prioritize universal access to safe sanitation and drinking water in rural areas. Despite progress, addressing sanitation disparities in non-ODF villages remains a challenge. By emphasizing behavior change, community engagement, and infrastructure development, we aim for universal access to safe sanitation and improved health in rural communities.
