Maternal mortality remains a significant challenge in India, with approximately 113 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births, according to the World Bank. Lack of access to quality antenatal care (ANC) contributes to this issue, particularly in rural areas. Recognizing the importance of women’s health and the significance of ANC in ensuring safe motherhood, Sundesh is committed to addressing the gaps in ANC coverage through our Women Wellness and ANC Camps initiative.
Through regular camps, we provide comprehensive antenatal
care services to pregnant women, including medical check-ups, nutritional
support, immunizations, and health education. Our efforts align with national
goals to reduce maternal mortality and improve maternal and child health
outcomes in India.
The Women Wellness Camp at Sundesh serves as a vital
community center for women's health and empowerment. Since its inception, 21
camps have benefited 1024 women this year, catering specifically to
the diverse healthcare needs of women of all ages. Our Women Wellness Clinic is
dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their health and lead
satisfying lives by providing accessible, comprehensive healthcare services.
At the clinic, women can access a variety of healthcare
services, including family planning services and counselling, menopausal
management and support, maternity and postnatal care, and reproductive health
screenings and consultations. In addition to medical care, the clinic actively
engages in community outreach, support groups, and health education workshops
to promote preventive healthcare practices and increase awareness among women
in the community.
Our Women Wellness and ANC Camps initiative aims to
continue promoting women's health and wellness and meet new healthcare needs
through strategic collaborations, community feedback, and continuous research.
This year alone, 1024 women have benefited from the camps' comprehensive
healthcare services, marking a significant accomplishment in our mission to
improve women's health in rural areas.
